Paris, the Seine. A sunset that feels like an ending.
In this contemporary reimagining of Puccini’s masterpiece, the traditional barge becomes a sleek, modern vessel—a symbol of luxury for some, and a prison of labor for others. Under the shadow of the sails, the life of the crew unfolds in a world of stark contrasts. We meet Giorgetta, the ship’s cook, whose heart beats for the lights of the city and the dreams she left behind. Her husband, Michele, the Skipper, watches the horizon with a heavy silence, clinging to a love that is slipping away like the tide. Between them stands Luigi, a deckhand who represents the raw passion and the desperate hope of a different life.
Join us on March 28th at 6:30 PM at the Auditorium San Romano in Lucca to witness the final act of this cinematic production.
